Let’s get moving!
Exercise is one of the key pillars to a healthy body and healthy mind. You can read more about that here.
In my opinion, what’s most important is that we keep moving and we do it on a daily basis. So, if that means, taking the stairs every day, walking or riding your bike instead of taking transport, stretching your body out regularly, doing some quick exercises at your desk at lunch, bodyweight exercises, going to the gym for a class or to lift weights, playing sport, running, dancing or yoga, whatever you do, do it because you enjoy it and you will maintain the habit.
It’s not about having a six-pack or being able to hold a handstand for a minute (although those are pretty cool things we’d all love to attain) but, for me, it’s about being able to move my entire body for as long as possible. I want to be flexible, strong, able to move and jump and run and lift/carry things for as long as possible. And that just doesn’t happen overnight, that happens because we choose to maintain our bodies by doing a variety of activity and movement on a regular basis so we don’t wake up one day, at age 40 cracking and in pain because we’ve not supported, moved and loved our bodies over the years.
